Hello everyone.
It has been a while since I last posted. I guess the drinking has slowed. Anyway, we are going on a cruise with friends and all our kids for Spring Break. We have cruised before and usually bring some wine with us. So, I was having fun trying to decide what to bring...and discussing it with our friends...one of whom loves wine. The decision was almost made,..a couple dessert wines...and a Heitz Martha's Vineyard...and a couple to be determined reds. We had a 6 bottle shipper we were going to use to transport the wine. Then, my wife noticed that our cruise line (Royal Caribbean) does not allow any liquor to be brought on board. I thought...this can't be...let me check it out. Alas, when I tried to find their corkage fee, I received the news that there isn't one since you can't bring your own. Most other cruise lines charge $10-$25...which I have no problem with. Worse, in my searching, I found one blogger who claimed that RCL's wine selection were insipid. Yikes!!! Looks like bloody marys and beer.
Everyone have a wonderful early spring!!!
And for some wines that are far from insipid...check out our Sorry Jerry tasting this Saturday from 12-4, our Easter wine tasting next Saturday 4/3 from 12-4, and mark down our Spring Wine tasting (the BIG ONE) on 4/17 from 1-5.
