On Monday I had the opportunity to tast the latest release of Caymas Napa Cabernet - 2007.  This is being called the best vintage since 1997 (one of the great years for California wines).  And that is saying something when it comes to Caymus, which year in and year out delivers a stellar product.  This wine is very dark and intense with nice blackberry flavors and some coffee overtones.   I would call this one dense and chewy with a finish that is just right.  Drink now, but this should be wonderful for a decade to come.  Blows away Silver Oak if you are looking for a change!!!  Thanks to Tom for bringing it in for us to try.  Now where is the Special Selection?
