Beer and Wine Riot 2009

What up ya'll, my name's Rick and I'm the beer manager at Antioch Fine Wine & Liquors.  If you're not sure who I am just look for the huge guy wandering around the beer section    Actually I'm about 170 soaking wet, but I'm back in the gym, so watch out.  On a serious note, our annual beer and wine tasting just passed and overall I would say it was a success.  The turnout was the best we've ever had and the beer lineup was out of this world.  Sprecher brought in a barrel aged russian imperial stout that rivals Founders Kentucky Breakfast, which is without question the best stout I've ever had.  The surprise of the show had to be Mean Malanishi, a double IPA from Hoppin Frog.  It is well balanced, but still gives you the hop kick you look for in an IPA.  I have to give props to Larry and Steve who did a great job on the wine side, even with Steve sportin the gray beard.  Sorry Steve had to throw that in there.  If  you missed this tasting  don't worry, another is in the works.

Hey this blog thing isn't so bad I think I'll do it again sometime.

See ya,

Rick

I just read the wine update on email for the first time in a few months and it made me miss home a little! I couldn't believe the turnout you guys were talking about. I could just imagine how crowded it was. Hope everyone is doing well along with business. See ya next time I'm home!!
