Sea Smoke
On Sunday night, we held an impromptu barbeque and grilled some Tilapia and Orange Roughy along with Asparagus. The food was excellent, and the wine was stellar. My friend opened a bottle of Sea Smoke Southing Pinot Noir, which is extremely allocated and hard to find (we don't have any more currently). The wine had been opened at least an hour (maybe longer) before dinner. What a beautiful wine!!! It was soft and elegant and a great pairing with the fish (a steak would have overpowered it) - not too much tannin. It was almost flowery. I would highly recommend it and my buddy wants some more if we can find it.
