Closeout Wines 4/9/08

We have received a ton of new closeout values recently.  I tried many of them and here are my impressions of some.  The Tandem Pinot Noir had a dominant cherry flavor to it.  It lingered for a good five minutes.  The Howard Park Cabernet/Merlot had some problems with the corks - so we just pushed it in.  My first impression was that the wine was just OK, but after several hours, it was really good.  This wine should be decanted or left to breathe.  The Haywood Rocky Zin was a huge wine and also needed time to breathe.  Once it did, we quickly sold out all that we had.

What did you think if you happened to taste any of these wines.
